Balarishtam

Balarishta is an Ayurvedic liquid medicine used mainly in Vata disorders.

Balarishta uses:  It is used in the treatment of Vata imbalanced diseases such as neuralgia, paralysis (hemiplegia, paraplegia), arthritis, muscle spasms,  spondylosis etc.

It improves the strength of nerves, muscles and bones.

  • Vataroga – Vata imbalanced disorders
  • Balavardhana – Improves the strength
  • Pushtivardhana – improves the body nourishment
  • Agnivardhana – improves the digestion power.

Balarishtam dose: 12 – 24 ml. one or two times a day, usually advised after food. If needed, it can be diluted with equal quantity of water.

Balarishta ingredients: 

  1. Bala (Sida cordifolia) – root / whole plant – 4.8 kg
  2. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – root – 4.8 kg
  3. water for decoction – 49.152 luters, boiled and reduced to 12.288 liters.
  4. Jaggery – 14.400 kg
  5. Dhataki (Woodfordia fruticosa)  – flower – 768 g
  6. Payasya (Ipomea digitata) –  – root  /whole plant96 g
  7. Eranda (Ricinus communis) – root – 96 g
  8. Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata) – root -48 g
  9. Cardamom – 48 g
  10. Prasarini (Paederia foetida) – root – 48 g
  11. Clove Usheera (Vetiveria zizanioides) – 48 g
  12. Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) – whole plant / fruit – 48 g
