Poothikasavam

Poothikasavam is an Ayurvedic medicine in liquid form and is  used mainly in the treatment of hemorrhoids, stomach and spleen disorders. 

Reference: Ashtanga Hrudayam

Pootikasavam Dose: 12 – 24 ml. one or two times a day, usually advised after food.
If needed, it can be mixed with equal quantity of water.

Poothikasavam uses:

• Hemorrhoids
• Splenomegaly
• Anemia
• Sprue
• Dysuria
• Rheumatoid arthritis

Poothikasavam ingredients:

1. Poothika – Chiruvilwa – Bark of Holoptelea integrifolia
2. Shunti – ginger
3. Maricha – Black pepper
4. Pippali – Long pepper
